Airport Assistance Services

Fast Track Assistance

Airport Assist supports the flow of the international departures at Perth Airport Terminal 1 by providing support and directions to the International departures through security and outbound passport control. This comes in handy when leaving waves in the late-afternoon and evening hours to Asia and the Middle East: queues usually accumulate.

Meet and Greet

The Airport Assist representatives will have an option of curbside drop-off, in the check-in hall, or, at the point of arrival, in Terminal 1. Personal escort is provided, and the two locations of the terminals make transfers and confusions disappear.

Lounge Access

The airline and independent lounges that are available in Perth Airport are located mainly in the Terminal 1 International and the Terminals 3/4 in case of Qantas domestic travelers. Airport Assist saves unwarranted walking by directing the passengers to the right lounge provided that they have the right to be guided.

VIP Assistance

Having synchronized check-in to discreet escort through the screening and boarding process, VIP Airport Assistance makes the travels organized and predictable, especially when dealing with school holidays or FIFO (fly-in, fly-out) peak travelling hours as experienced during peak travels in Western Australia.

Family & Special Needs

Wheelchair arrangements, mobility assistance, and support for families traveling with children can be pre-arranged. Guided help is particularly valuable when moving between terminal precincts.

Baggage & Porter Help

Airport Assist will organize the transfer of luggage between curbside to check in counters or baggage claim to onward transport. This makes the process more bearable to long-haul international arrivals who have more than one suitcase.

Minimum Recommended Layover

  • Domestic to domestic (same precinct): 60 minutes to 75 minutes
  • Domestic to international: 2 hours
  • International to domestic (different precinct): 2.5 to 3 hours
  • Lounge options in Terminal 1 International are best for longer waits.
  • Nearby airport hotels are all within a short drive and convenient for long layovers.

Transit Assistance

In the case of passengers who are carrying out a domestic flight followed by an international flight, Airport Assist manages the Shuttle Time, Recheck and Biosecurity clearance to minimise stress and missed flights.

Layover & Connection Tips

  • Terminals 1 and 2 are used in one precinct, Terminals 3 and 4 (Qantas) are in the other. Allow additional time if moving from one of these precincts to another.
  • A free terminal transfer bus runs between precincts and it is usually 15-20 minutes depending on the traffic within the airport grounds.
  • International departures from Terminal 1 are busiest after evening. Getting to the gate early helps to avoid long security queues.
  • The International Arrivals must pass through the Australian Border Force and Biosecurity screening. For visa and transit information go to: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au
  • Free Wi-Fi is available in all terminals with quick registration.
  • Most international to domestic connections will involve collecting checked baggage and rechecking with the domestic carrier.
  • Recommended minimum layover time:
